The Systems and Technical Services Sector of Commission on Audit headed by Assistant Commissioner Manolo C. Sy noted the accomplishment of COA Regional Office No. XI as the lone region that has 100% publication of committed 2019 Annual Audit Reports (AARs) as of May 15, 2020 in the COA Website. Both Ascom Sy and Director Lorna D. Cabochan of the Information Technology Office (ITO) commended the hard work of Regional Director Roy L. Ursal and all the employees of COA Region XI in her Memorandum dated June 8, 2020 and expressed their felicitations for a job well done.
The Pandemic threat did not hinder the COAns of Region XI to perform their mandate and deliver what is expected of them. Strategies were applied such as creation of AAR Review Team and the paperless submission and electronic review of the AAR drafts under the direct supervision of Atty. Roy L. Ursal and close coordination with offices concerned like the Regional Information Technology Service, Supervising Auditor and Regional Supervising Auditor and Officers-in-Charge of audit groups and offices and the Audit Teams along with regular virtual meetings that serve as the venue to direct all personnel towards achievement of the goal.
The leadership of Atty. Roy L. Ursal brought out the best in all the employees in the Region that resulted in the 100% submission of all the 82 committed AARs to ITO. COA Region XI was the first to complete the submission allowing the ITO to publish the said AARs on the COA Website on May 15, 2020 amidst the pandemic and the restrictions of the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
